Talk/Synthesis:
  1. I. Introduction
A life of a college student is said to be the most challenging part of a person’s life were we try to experience independence from our family and start to develop ourselves to be a better person. We explore more and experience hurts, frustrations, and disappointments and also, we experience joys and victories.
  1. II. Seeing Beyond
As we continue into our journey as students, we need to know our focus and we need to know the reason why we are here. Seeing beyond means that we need to understand that what we are doing today would affect what we will be in the future. One saying goes, “What you plant, you shall reap.”. And so, what you do today, whether you had become lazy or industrious you will surely harvest what you had sowed.
  1. III. Moving Beyond
Knowing our greatest and most treasured goals and dreams in life, we need to Move beyond the stairways to reach our goal. Moving beyond means that we understand that gaining victory and achieving something is not as easy as one two and three but you are to work hard in order to achieve it. You see that the journey has lots of trials and hindrances in achieving your goals. When we face these problems and we fail, we need to stand again and keep moving on. We need to overcome them and move forward.
  1. IV. Mountain Top:
As we continue our journey, sometimes we experience frustrations and disappointments. We then stop moving on and sometimes, the world is already against us. We lose hope and we lose sight of our dreams and we thought that it will never happen. It will never be the same. At times of pains, we need to see that few steps ahead will already be the mountain top. The world won’t stop for you and pains are natural but remember, life doesn’t end and many people still loves you and cares for you.
  1. V. Conclusion/Synthesis:
Remember, what you plant, you shall reap. Do your best especially in your studies. Imagine an experience on a top of a mountain. You can see what is above it and it is the voice of victory and the taste of success and it will be your choice whether you start today and work hard, move on from the past and look beyond the future.
Note: Synthesis is the summary of the discussion. Facilitators should generated them and make the talk outline as additional insights and learnings. Facilitator should be able to prompt and generate questions.
