Hello Everyone! We just had an informal gathering-of-sorts here in Cebu tonight and the response has been very encouraging not only amongst Iliganons now based in Cebu but other concerned citizens as well. Starting tomorrow, Wednesday (Dec. 21), we will be accepting donations (in cash or kind) at the Cebu City Public Library, which is one block away from Cebu Doctors' Hospital. We can only be there up until the end of this week so if you have friends who are interested to donate then please tell them to do so asap. There have been feedbacks that most donated items are usually sent to other calamity-stricken areas instead of to those affected in Iligan City. With this in mind, if you happen to be in Cebu and going to Iligan (or if you know someone who is going there), then PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop by (or text me at 0933-5380120) and grab a box or two of the donated items so that it can be delivered directly to Iliganons. Otherwise, if said items are still here for a long time, then we will course it to other channels (like LBC or ABS-CBN or other NGOs) in order to be of use immediately but it will not be a guarantee that it will be sent directly to Iligan.
