Cadets from St. Michaels College having their drill and practice at the ICNHS school grounds last Monday. |
When I was third year high school, I became a cadet applicant that was trained to be an officer for the CAT next year. Unfortunately, CAT was removed from our school curriculum and our 2 months training during our summer vacation prior to enrolling for 4rth year , should I say became meaningless. However, I consider it one of my best experience in High School. It taught me a lot of things and my close friends may have noticed, my habit of saluting whenever I meet someone on the street was because of the conditioning we had.

CAT was removed because of corruption involving the officers and the students.
The shady practices were a normal thing for me back then, it's very wrong now.
